Saturday, 15 May 2010

On this day, it was a special day for Darren because it’s their solemnization! This was my first time attending a ROM at home. Interesting and fun experience. When I saw how shy the couples were, I chuckled. It was a blissful ceremony for them. Everyone was very happy that they finally married! It’s a pity that I would not be joining them for the wedding dinner at Malaysia in June.

Catching up with my ex colleagues was great. We had lots of fun and took some photos. I was camera-shy that day, I don’t know why. The dinner was great too! But it was very hot and I was lucky that I didn’t wear that denim jacket out. Otherwise, I would be showering with sweats. Aftermaths, we wanted to go KTV but the rates were too high so we loitered around BB. Went to mac@westmall and slacked with them. I was playing with Darren’s SLR and I hope one day I could own it too. But my achievable wishlist is to get Polaroid first.

I am sad to know that Sook Fong is going back to her home town. I will miss her dearly. (L)

I left work early to go down NP to verify my documents and submit the SIM application form. I met MAD(Melaine) in school and we had a nice chat. It’s really nice to catch up with her. J We can talk about anything and everything under the sun. She was nice to accompany me to walk to SIM while waiting for MS CHEN LI XIA. After that, we parted and Lixia and I headed to the LT. Total loss for that day was $1070 + 60pounds. I wasn’t that heartache. Either I am too rich to bother or I am crazy. But I think it’s the latter.

I ACHIEVED MY SHORT TERM GOAL!
#4 Engage with my two lovely twins

Lesson was great and I believe that they learnt a lot from the game I invented! It was really a sense of accomplishment. They also enjoyed themselves! They even suggested to play similar games using timetable. Greatly impressed by their initiatives. The twins are really cute sometimes. I was quite satisfied with the younger’s result. Definitely, I was relieved when their mother told me their results have improved ever since I taught them. Hopefully that’s the case :)
When I reached home, I received the parcel! YAY! It’s very very pretty. :) Kudos to the shop owner!

I hope my brother would work harder for his exam next semester. Do not give up even if you did not do well this time round. I believe with constant perseverance and effort, your result will be as good as last time. CHEERS!

**I dreamt of someone last night. Someone proposed to me in my dream. =.= I think I watched too much drama and might be because of the solemnization.

DISCLAIMER: THIS POST IS VERY LONG

Sometimes, I think life is fair to me because I am enjoying the luxury of having things in my way and the things I wanted to achieve.
This is as below:

Intrinsic (most valuable)
- A wonderful and healthy family (though quarrels always occurred but it’s inevitable)
- A bunch of good friends who always stand by me when I need help
- A very nice boyfriend who can tolerate my nonsense and attitude
- A wonderful job with nice colleagues giving me advices
- A high pay job that can support my huge expenses
- My / family’s financial is making a comeback
- Lecturers and school mates who are there to help me when I encountered problems for projects in NP
- Friends who make the effort to celebrate birthdays with me every year and surprises every time

Extrinsic
- Having some savings despite spending thousands and thousands on emergency matters
- Owns a digital camera
- Owns a HTC Hero Phone
- Owns a laptop
- Owns a desktop
- Owns an iPod Touch
- Shared game hand-held console
- A mountain of clothes and shoes
- Owns branded leather goods
- Able to shop carefree though sometimes I would be on saving mode
- And the list goes on…

I know I am already very fortunate as compared to others. I always do know it in my mind. But because of human’s greed, I always felt it’s not enough. Maybe I should go do community services like my brother and my mindset might change.

Last time, even with only 1-2k in my bank, I would feel satisfied and contented. But as time passed, if I never hit the target that I set, I would feel miserable. $100-$200 in my wallet would always make me feel very rich but now, I’m not satisfied. I hope I can go back to the old days where I am satisfied easily. At least it would not make me feel harder to survive somehow.

Family always comes first to me and I love my brother. Not trying to praise myself, I think I am a good sister who will do revision with him. But because of my limited ability, either I do not know how to do or I fell asleep halfway through. But still, I would listen to his complaints, his happiness and troubles. This is what I think siblings are for – helping each other when needed and stand by them. Only then we will be close. Actually, what surprises me most is my mother. After knowing that I have a relationship, she did not oppose and wasn’t angry for hiding from her. She always never fails to surprise me. But I hope my mother and father can be more understanding towards each other.

Friends are also part of my life. They also stand an important weightage in my heart. I do not have many friends but I have a few good friends. That’s the most important for me. I always felt comforting to seek advice from them and sharing my sorrows and happiness to them too. Thanks my dear friends!

Last but not least, my dear boyfriend. I know I’ve been neglecting him a lot ever since don’t know when but I hope he knows how I feel to him.

Once in awhile, if I list down what I have in my life, it is really satisfying and comforting. Now, the goals for the next couple of months before start of school.

Young at heart

Recently, I have been surfing net during my free time. Instead of the usual facebook, I hogged onto online shopping. That is, online window shopping. Other than clothes, I found some interesting sites that sell a variety of things. One particular site caught my attention which really brightened up my day and relieved all my troubles. It was my all time favourite – stationery! The diaries, notepads and STICKERS are all imported from Korea. The stickers are not available in Singapore as far as I know because I went to search for it last Saturday. Also, I found some Polaroid Lomo stickers and postcards! ^^ I guess people who received that would be very happy. But everything was out of stock! Not even preorder.

However, I manage to find another site selling even more Polaroid Lomo postcards and albums but it was from China/Hong Kong which I don’t even understand much of their Chinese. Sigh. Stickers are always my favourite since young. It really brings back a lot of memories. Till now, I get excited whenever I see a bundle of stickers in front of me. Guess I’m still young? ^^V I remembered when I was young, I would always learn spelling and got full marks for it so that my tutor would give me stickers. Till now, I still couldn’t resist the temptation. =/ Now I realized Singapore do not bring in different designs of stickers. I wonder why? Anyone has any recommendation or knows of any shops that sell interesting stickers can tell me. :D

Being super tired these days because I have to work in the day, tuition in the evening and revise with my brother at night. I hope by this week, I am able to be informed of my verdict. I don’t want to waste my 200bucks + refundable 1070bucks and create unnecessary hassle. Yes, I am lazy and don’t want invite unnecessary trouble. Just hope for the best! Today, tomorrow and Thursday! If not, NTU and SMU will be hearing from me, soon!

I asked God the question, he replied me with the answer. I clarified for 2 times. The answer is still the same. I teared when I walked back home. How silly. For a trivial matter.
